Club runs

Two runs a week, all year

All our runs start at the clubhouse in Danie Uys Park. Anyone is welcome — you don’t have to be a member, and you don’t have to keep up with anyone.

The weekly schedule

Monday17:40

Club run — 10 km or 6 km

The week’s friendly run. Two distances, groups of similar pace, and no pressure to go further than you feel like.

Start 17:40 · Danie Uys Park clubhouse

Thursday18:00

Time trial — 5 km or 3 km

A timed run on a measured club course, tracked all season. This is where the club challenges and the most-time-trials award are earned. An optional beverage afterwards is very much part of the tradition.

Start 18:00 · Danie Uys Park clubhouse

Last Thursdayafter

Bring & braai

On the last Thursday of the month we braai after the time trial, catch up, and announce the monthly awards (Moments of the Month, Runner of the Month and first-marathon acknowledgements).

Time trials in the season

Every time trial you run counts towards the annual awards — the club awards prizes for the most time trials completed in a season (male, female, boy and girl). The club season runs from 1 October to 30 September.
