Awards & challenges

What the season is played for

Monthly recognition, fifteen annual awards and three season-long challenges. The club year runs from 1 October to 30 September.

Monthly awards

Moments of the Month

For the runs worth celebrating: a first 10 km, a first half, a first sub-4 marathon, or someone who simply kept going when it was hard.

Not compulsory to award every month — the committee decides. You must be a member to nominate and to be nominated.

Nominate a moment

Runner of the Month

Awarded for a personal best in your age category during the month. First-time performances in a new age category also count.

Only sanctioned races count. Runners in the same category are compared on IAAF tables; different ages and sexes are age-graded with the WMA system.

First marathon

Your first marathon gets its own recognition. Tell us when it is coming and we will celebrate it with you.

Email the club captain for ladies.

It is your responsibility to tell the committee about a PB — if you ran it and said nothing, it cannot win.
